We have found this to be an exceptionally good quality polyester canvas. This is a great alternative to our 100% cotton canvas if you are working to a budget. This canvas has the feel and texture of fabric but is made from 100% polyester, it can be described as heavy photo canvas and is 248gsm in weight. The colour of the canvas is pale ivory.
Choose the appropriate size for your design, once you have printed it off, it can be folded around a frame to make your own box canvas. As the canvas has the same properties as fabric you could even sew it but we think you would have to use a sewing machine, the fabric may be too tough for hand sewing.
We see and test many canvas products and some of them do not come up to scratch, many synthetic canvases have an unsightly plastic coating on them which cracks when folded. This canvas will not crack when folded thanks to it fabric like texture. There is no plastic coating which prevents a 'cheap' looking finish. Your images will print beautifully with bright and crisp results.
You do have to make sure you print on the right side of the canvas, one side has a smoother surface and this is the side you print on, the back of the canvas has a looser weave.
